Description

Oxynitrox® S100 is a new organic oxidation catalyst. It has the chemical structure of a nitroxide type polymer.
It is in line with Arkema’s ongoing development drive in the field of catalysis.

Properties

• Contains no metallic elements
• Steers the selective oxidation of primary alcohols into aldehydes and acids (even if secondary alcohols are present)
• Is recyclable without losing any efficiency
• Can be used as a homogeneous or heterogeneous catalyst
• Is used at ambient temperature

Production

A pilot production of Oxynitrox® S100 is running at the Rhône-Alpes Research Center, according to a process patented by Arkema.
This pilot is enabling sales of Oxynitrox® S100 to be developed in its various applications.
