Arkema today is a major player in materials produced from renewable raw materials. Arkema has also developed new products for key segments such as Energy (Li batteries, photovoltaics), Light Materials (high performance polymers, nanotubes), and Water Treatment (membranes).

Professional careers are built around the professions, by allowing individuals either to enhance their expertise in their initial profession, or to move on to related fields.
An R&D engineer or a chemist at our Kyoto Technical Center (KTC), for example, can progress toward team management, project management expertise, or even move to related fields like Product Line Management, Marketing or Sales. This engineer or chemist can also extend her/his responsibilities to cover activities across Asia. An R&D staff member at our Kyoto KTC Center can also be given the responsibility of coordinating the global development of new specific market segments.
A sales representative at Arkema K.K, for example, can progress toward team management, project management expertise or to related fields like Product Line Management, Marketing or Sales. She/he can also extend her/his responsibilities to cover other Asian countries or the whole Asia Pacific region.
