Arkema in Japan

Arkema’s presence in Japan started in the late 60s. After the first Japanese incorporation in 1974. Arkema has enlarged its activities through different kinds of business integration. On the occasion of the creation of Arkema in 2004, the company has turned a new page by changing its name from Atofina Japan K.K. after Elf Atochem Japan K.K. to Arkema K.K.
Arkema K.K. imports and markets Arkema’s products, produced under severe quality control at the group facilities over the world. In addition, Arkema K.K. represents in Japan all worldwide Arkema activities, including management of all affiliates and joint-venture companies in Japan as well as local support for strategic alliances with Japanese partners.
Arkema K.K. engages, through its Kyoto Technical Center (KTC) founded in 1993, in product development, application development and technical services for customers in Asia-Pacific region. Besides, KTC also acts as the liaison office for Arkema Corporate R&D.
Akishima Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Arkema K.K., develops, produces and markets PVC stabilizers integrally.
